  • Rubber hoses are Burnable Garbage; vinyl hoses are Plastic Resources
  • Hose reel bodies (plastic) are Plastic Resources. From October 1, 2026, items that do not fit in a 45-liter designated bag are Oversized Items (until September 30, items exceeding 30 cm square)
  • Only if you cannot obtain designated bags, you may use colorless transparent bags or semi-transparent bags (only those whose contents are easily visible; 10 to 45 liters) (temporary measure through October 30 (Fri), 2026). For Burnable Garbage, mark the bag "可燃ごみ" (Burnable Garbage). From November 2 (Mon), 2026, put rubber hoses in a designated household burnable garbage bag and vinyl hoses in a designated recyclables bag or a colorless transparent bag of 45 liters or less that your household no longer needs (semi-transparent bags cannot be used). The city asks residents to plan to use up, no later than October 30 (Fri), 2026, any colorless transparent or semi-transparent bags already bought for the temporary measure, or to use them for other purposes
