Disposal Steps

1. Sort recyclables by type at the neighborhood recycling box
2. For cans: empty, rinse, separate by aluminum and steel
3. For bottles: rinse, remove caps, sort by color
4. For PET bottles: empty, rinse, remove caps and labels, crush flat
5. For plastic containers: rinse lightly, place in transparent bag
6. For paper products: bundle by type and tie with string
7. For special items: place each type in separate transparent bags
8. Check schedule and place sorted items in collection bin on designated day
