Kotatsu ／ Kashiwa City

Kotatsu is classified as Non-burnable Garbage / Oversized Items.

Disposal Steps

1. [Kashiwa area] If it is less than 1.2 m on each side, put it out as Non-burnable Garbage at the collection point by 8:30 a.m. on the collection day
2. [Kashiwa area] If it is 1.2 m or more on a side, it is oversized garbage: apply to Yamamoto Sangyo Co., Ltd. (phone 04-7132-1878, Mon–Sat 8:30–17:00) or online
3. [Shonan area] It is oversized garbage: apply to Clean Center Shirasagi (phone 04-7193-5389, Mon–Sat 8:30–17:15)
4. For oversized garbage, buy an "oversized garbage disposal ticket" at a retailer (1,100 yen per item in the Kashiwa area, 880 yen per item in the Shonan area, tax included), fill in the required information and attach it, then put the item at the front door (near the ground-floor entrance for an apartment or condominium) by the morning of the collection day (8:30 in the Kashiwa area, 8:00 in the Shonan area)
