Disposal Steps

- Put it out at the resources collection point by 8 AM on the Small Metal Items collection day (twice a month)
Important Notes
Collection schedules and sorting rules may change. Please check the official website for the latest information.
- Put swollen or deformed rechargeable batteries in a separate transparent bag from other batteries, with a label such as 「リチウム膨張」 (swollen lithium battery) or 「リチウム変形」 (deformed lithium battery)
- Items 30cm or longer on the longest side are Oversized Items (apply to the Oversized Garbage Reception Center; a fee is required)
- Removed rechargeable batteries and mobile batteries can also be taken to JBRC partner stores or your area's Living Environment Office (JBRC partner stores do not accept batteries of unknown make, without a recycling mark, or damaged or swollen)
- Dry cell batteries and lithium coin batteries (types CR and BR) still go out as Used Dry Cell Batteries
