- Cancel bicycle registration in advance
- Always remove the battery from an electric-assist bicycle. From October 1, 2026, the removed battery is Hazardous Waste and goes out at the waste and resource collection point on "PET Bottles and Hazardous Waste" day (until September 30, as a small rechargeable battery: use a store collection box or take it to the Hashimotodai Recycle Square, Asamizodai Recycle Square or Tsukui Clean Center)
- Damaged, swollen or deformed batteries cannot be put out at collection points; take them directly to the Asamizodai Recycle Square, Hashimotodai Recycle Square or Tsukui Clean Center
- Applies to tricycles and unicycles as well
