Important Notes

Collection schedules and sorting rules may change. Please check the official website for the latest information.

  • If the battery removed from an electronic thermometer is a button battery, the city does not collect it (take it to a retailer take-back box). Dry-cell batteries go to Hazardous Waste
  • If you cannot use a collection box, an electronic thermometer may be put out as Non-burnable Garbage only with its battery removed (not with the battery still inside)
  • The small appliance collection boxes are at 15 places: eight public facilities, including Ishinomaki City Hall and branch offices, and seven supermarkets and other stores in the city (available only during each facility's or store's opening hours)
  • If you are unsure how to sort something, contact the Environment Future Promotion Division (Kankyo Mirai Suishin-ka)
