- Do not put it out at a garbage collection point. Take it to a small appliance collection box at a public facility or a store
- Delete your personal data before putting it in the box
Important Notes
Collection schedules and sorting rules may change. Please check the official website for the latest information.
- It has a built-in (lithium-ion) battery, so it cannot be put out at garbage collection points (not even as Non-burnable Garbage). It can cause fires in garbage trucks and processing facilities
- The small appliance collection boxes are at 15 places: eight public facilities, including Ishinomaki City Hall and branch offices, and seven supermarkets and other stores in the city (available only during each facility's or store's opening hours)
- If the battery cannot be removed easily, put the whole device in the small appliance collection box. A removed rechargeable battery goes to a rechargeable battery collection box at a public facility
- Even with the separate collection of "Plastics" (from October 2026), do not put smartphones in "Plastics" bags (they can catch fire)
