  • Cannot be collected as regular garbage. Subject to Home Appliance Recycling Law - pay recycling fee and use proper channels.
  • Request pickup when buying a replacement. The store can take your old product when you buy a new one (transport fees apply).

How much is the recycling fee?

Recycling fees vary by manufacturer and size. Approximate fees:

  • Air conditioner: ¥990~
  • TV (15 inches or less): ¥1,320~
  • TV (16 inches or more): ¥2,420~
  • Refrigerator (170L or less): ¥3,740~
  • Refrigerator (171L or more): ¥4,730~
  • Washing machine/dryer: ¥2,530~

*Additional collection and transport fees apply (approx. ¥500-¥3,000)

Where should I take it?

There are 3 options:

  • Retailer: If buying a new product, the store can take back the old one
  • Designated collection point: Purchase a recycling voucher at the post office and bring to a designated location
  • Municipal collection: Some municipalities offer paid collection services
